“RECAP”

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has a formal partnership written into Policy the “RECAP” violence reduction model.

Pastor Troy Martinez leads several initiatives of a group of faith leaders collaborating with government, law enforcement, schools and business in the City of Las Vegas which has been successful in reducing homicide, gun crime and improving awareness of sex trafficking and drug addiction in the state of Nevada. With over 10 years of established, successful public safety models that are replicable across the nation.

Pastor Troy Martinez has been a committed partner of the City of Las Vegas for over a decade through his significant participation in The Mayor’s Faith Initiative. Involved in many of the Initiative’s critical community issues and because of his dedicated involvement and leadership, he has spurred the City’s focused fight against human trafficking. His outstanding and nationally acclaimed video on this topic, Trafficked No More, has made a tremendous impact and created new awareness for action by the public. Additionally, Pastor Troy’s Rebuilding Every City Around Peace (RECAP) Violence Responders initiative has fostered work with the Metropolitan Police Department as it enhances public safety and opens lines for better communication among all peoples. Pastor Troy’s spiritual guidance has been a peaceful and steady force in times of both sorrow and joy. His efforts are truly appreciated.
